Safety test

Available while a load is held. The pump stops; the reserve tank and non-return valve keep the pads sealed so the operator has time to set the load down.

How it holds

The pump draws air out from under eight Ø300 mm rubber pads. Atmospheric pressure on the far face presses the slab onto the lips. At −0.8 bar one pad holds about 5.7 kN. The lift interlock stays locked until vacuum passes −0.6 bar.
